"Hey everyone, just had a convo with a fellow dev about web development and I'm curious to hear your thoughts. We were discussing whether HTML5 is still where it's at or if it's time to go back to the basics with simpler tech like HTML/CSS. Some folks say HTML5 is too bloated, others claim it's still the way to go, what's your take?"

Honestly, I've been seeing some sick web dev projects come out lately that are using a mix of both HTML5 and 'back to basics' methods. I think the future of web dev is all about finding that sweet spot where old-school coding meets modern web tech. What are your thoughts, guys?

I think HTML5 is still a solid foundation, but it's time to adapt some modern concepts like WebAssembly for more complex apps. A hybrid approach would be ideal, combining the best of both worlds. Let's not forget the importance of accessibility in our future web dev plans.

"Personally, I think we're due for a web dev revolution. HTML5 has been solid, but the recent advancements in PWA and Web Assembly tech have me stoked for the future. Time to rethink our approach to web development, imo."

"Personally, I'm stoked about the potential of PWA's (Progressive Web Apps) with WebAssembly. It's like the best of both worlds - web dev simplicity and native app performance. Anyone have experience building PWAs with WebAssembly?"

"Personally, I think we're seeing a shift towards more streamlined frameworks like Next.js and Gatsby. These tools let devs focus on functionality without getting bogged down in the complexities of HTML5. It's all about finding balance between innovation and maintainability."

I'm all for sticking with HTML5, it's come a long way and offers so much flexibility. Plus, it's widely supported by most modern browsers, making it a solid choice for dev work. Anyone seen any notable projects using PWA's lately?

I gotta say, I'm loving the trend of PWA's (Progressive Web Apps) and how HTML5 has been evolving. As long as we keep it simple and focus on functionality, I don't see a need to go back to the basics. Keep pushing the boundaries with HTML5.

I'm team 'back to the basics' all the way. With the rise of progressive web apps and server-side rendering, the need for robust, simple HTML has never been clearer. Let's not get too caught up in the latest buzzwords, and focus on building solid foundations.

"Y'all know I'm team HTML5 all the way. It's already taken us lightyears from the basics, and I think its potential hasn't been fully tapped yet. Let's keep pushing for more advanced features, not go back to the drawing board."
