Title: Hosting on a Budget: Is Free Hosting Really Worth the Risk?

Hey all, just had a convo with a friend who just lost their site due to a free hosting provider's T&Cs change. I'm starting to think that free hosting is way too good to be true. Is anyone else using free hosting, and if so, what are your experiences?

"Been there, done that. Free hosting sounds good, but in reality, it's usually a pain. I've had my websites taken down by their crappy terms of service, and the support is almost non-existent. Not worth the risk in my book."

Honestly, I've had mixed experiences with free hosting. While it's tempting to save cash, the lack of security and support often leaves me worried about my data getting compromised. For me, a decent budget hosting (like $5-10/month) is a better deal in the long run.

"TBH, I've tried free hosting and it's just not worth the risk for me. Had issues with uptime, security and even my site got hacked once because of it. $5-10 a month for a basic VPS is a small price to pay for peace of mind."

"100% agree with op, free hosting can be a serious gamble. I've seen too many 'free' hosts take down entire communities without so much as a warning. You get what you pay for, and a solid VPS is worth the investment in the long run."
