"Hey guys, I'm trying to set up a secure and private Ethereum node from scratch, but I'm hitting some roadblocks. I want to make sure it's totally private and secure, even with the new EVMostratum changes. Has anyone else done this and got some good resources or a step-by-step guide I can follow?"

"Hey OP, I've set up a few secure nodes in the past and I gotta say, the easiest way to do it is with Docker. There are tons of pre-configured Ethereum node images out there, just make sure to use a reputable one like Ethereum's official image or a trusted repository like SynoHost."

"Hey guys, I set mine up using the official Ethereum GitHub repo, followed the setup guide to the letter, and used a cloud VPS for the actual sync. Make sure to enable firewall rules to restrict incoming connections and use a strong password or SSH key. Been running for a few weeks now, no issues so far."

"Hey guys, I recently set up a private Ethereum node using a Raspberry Pi and it was a pretty smooth process. I followed the instructions on the official Ethereum GitHub page and used the Geth wallet. Make sure to check your firewall settings and get a static IP address to keep it stable."

"Hey OP, I feel you. I just set up a secure node using Ubuntu, and I can give you a quick rundown on the best practices I followed. Did you consider using a dedicated machine for your node, or are you running it on a VPS?"

Yo, for a secure and private Ethereum node, I'd recommend using a VPS and setting up Geth (or Parity if you're more into the GUI vibe). Don't forget to enable IP filtering and set up a VPN to keep your node's identity private. Has anyone else here used a remote node setup for Ethereum?

"Lol, trust me, I've been there. Using a VPS and setting up a full node is definitely doable, just remember to use Tor and a VPN for that extra layer of security. I'm running a 4GB instance on Linode, works like a charm for me."

"Dude, setting up a secure and private Ethereum node from scratch can be a wild ride, but I'd recommend checking out the official Ethereum documentation and the Geth installation guides for a solid starting point. Just don't forget to set up a firewall and keep your node updated with the latest patches to stay safe."
