"Just had my exchange account hacked and I'm trying to figure out my next move. Anyone else ever been in this situation? Specifically, what are my rights as a user - do I get compensated if they lost my funds or is it just a sunk cost?"

"Dude, if they're insured, you gotta follow the process they laid out for reimbursements. Otherwise, I'd say document everything, gather your receipts, and prep for a possible lawsuit. Has anyone else in the community had any experience with this exchange?"

"Dude, if you're in a regulated area, you should report it to your local SEC or financial ombudsman right away. They're usually the ones who can help you with claims and getting your funds back. Don't deal directly with the exchange's customer support, they'll just brush it off"

"Sorry to hear that, OP. If your exchange was hacked, you should immediately reach out to their support and report the incident. You might want to check their terms of service to see if they have a clear policy on handling compromised accounts and potential losses."

"Dude, that's super sucks to hear that your exchange got hacked. If you filed a complaint or contacted the exchange prior to this happening, you might still be able to get some form of reimbursement or compensation. Have you reached out to the exchange's support team to see what they can do for you?"

"Sorry to hear that, OP. According to most exchange terms, you're pretty much on your own unless you can prove negligence on their part. Have you contacted their support and asked about their insurance or compensation policies?"

"Dude, sorry to hear that. Check your exchange's TOS (terms of service) for their policy on hacked accounts and if they cover any potential losses. Also, have you reached out to their support team yet?"

"Dude, that sucks to hear. In general, most exchanges have a terms of service that states they aren't responsible for user losses, so it might be tough to get your funds back. Have you tried contacting support or a lawyer yet?"

"Dude, that's super sketchy. Check your user agreement, most exchanges will cover you for up to a certain amount, but it doesn't usually cover negligence or lack of 2FA. You should also report it to the authorities and your local cybercrime unit ASAP."
