Hey fellow forum members, I'm still trying to process the aftermath of my website getting hacked last week. Someone managed to exploit a vulnerability in my CMS and wiped out my entire database, including months worth of customer data. I spent hours trying to restore backups, but they were corrupted...

Ugh, been there done that. My old webhost got hacked last year and my site got malware injected. Rebuilding from scratch was a nightmare, but migrating to a VPS and setting up a fresh site on a more secure CMS like Ghost saved me in the long run.

Ugh, I can relate - my friend's business got hit by a DDOS attack on their shared hosting plan last year. Had to scramble to transfer everything to a VPS and switch providers, but they managed to recover all their files. Long story short, it was a major headache.

Ugh, I feel you guys. Had my hosting account breached last year and almost lost thousands of dollars' worth of crypto. Thankfully, I had 2FA and a good backup system in place, but it was still a major headache.

Oof, I feel you guys. I had a similar experience with my old shared hosting account. They got breached and I lost a bunch of sensitive data, including some client info – thankfully a backup saved me from a total meltdown

Yikes, I had a similar experience with Site5 back in 2018. They got hacked through a WordPress plugin vulnerability and our entire database got nuked. Took me weeks to get everything back up and running, but we learned a hard lesson about keeping software up to date
