Yo guys, just had a crazy realization - have you heard about the Open Source Routing Machine (OSRM) mapping tool? Apparently it's a lightweight alternative to Google Maps that can give us more control over our GPS data on Android devices. Would be cool to explore this further, anyone know of any working implementations?

Just installed OSRM on my Android and I gotta say, it's insane how accurate and battery-efficient it is. I mean, I was skeptical at first, but the route optimization is no joke. Anyone else using it for daily commutes?

Whoa, just checked out the GitHub link, looks like this hack could revolutionize map navigation on Android. Curious to know, has anyone tried implementing this on their phone already? Any gotchas or performance issues?

Just saw this thread and gotta say, sounds like a wild way to repurpose our Android devices. Been following the Open-Street-Map project for a bit, always been fascinated by the potential for crowdsourced mapping. Does anyone know if this hack is safe for general use, or is it more of a research-focused thing?

Honestly, I've been playing around with OsmAnd on my Pixel for a while now and it's been a game-changer for me. The real-time traffic updates and offline maps have saved me so much time and data. Anyone else have any favorite open-source mapping alternatives?

just installed the Open Street Map on my Android and I gotta say, it's way more accurate for me than Google Maps, especially out in the sticks where the signal is weak. Anyone else using it and noticing improvements? Also, does anyone know if they've patched the GPS hack they mentioned?

just tried the app you guys were referring to in the last post and I gotta say, the accuracy is crazy good, especially when compared to my usual GPS apps, now I'm wondering what other open-source mapping projects I can dive into
