"Hey guys, thought I'd share my worst gaming account loss story. I had a legit 1000+ hour WoW character I'd been grinding for years, and one day I got banned for 'exploiting' (it was a legit game client issue, but the devs still nuked my account). Lost all my progress and gear, and I was devastated.

Has anyone else out there had a similar experience?"

"Ugh, I feel your pain, guys. I once had an old World of Warcraft account that got banned due to a fake IP issue, and I lost a bunch of rare mounts and loot. Thankfully, I was able to recover it with the help of a friend who still had an active account, and we swapped emails with Blizzard to get it reinstated."

"Man, I feel you. I had a Steam account with a sick rare WoW mount, got banned for 'botting' (turns out my lil bro was the culprit . The most I could do was use Steam's customer support to recover my games & DLC, but the mount was toast. Anyone else got a worse loss?"

Dude, I was playing Overwatch a few years back and my main tank account got temporarily banned for a bot report, but somehow my account got permabanned because I couldn't recover it on time. Luckily, I had a decent backup team and was able to create a new account, but it was still a major bummer. Lesson learned: have a backup plan, dude!

"Y'all feeling my pain. I once lost a full season on Apex Legends because my account got banned over a silly mistake. Still wish they had a more lenient appeals process back then."
