I just got hit with a huge loss after falling for a pump and dump scheme on a low-cap altcoin. The price skyrocketed from 50 cents to a dollar in like an hour, but of course it was just smoke and mirrors. I've lost a pretty significant chunk of change, lesson learned the hard way.
