"Help, fellow crypto devs! Just got offered a remote dev job at a promising crypto startup, but the offer is way below my expectations (think $80k base + stock options, but stock is tied to a 2-year vesting period and it's 0.5% of the company's valuation). Anyone have some negotiation tips or experience with this type of startup?"

"Hey OP, I feel ya - getting underpaid when your skills are in high demand sucks. Have you considered researching the market rate for your position and using that to negotiate a higher salary or equity stake in the crypto startup?"

"Hey OP, I totally feel you. I once got a similar offer and the key was to negotiate the crypto portion (in my case, equity) separately from the salary. Don't be afraid to push for more tokens or a higher vesting schedule, but be realistic about the company's budget and growth prospects."

"Hey OP, how much were you lowballed by? I had a similar experience with a startup last year - I counter-offered with a 20% raise and they ended up meeting me in the middle. Worth a shot, at least."

"Dude, I've been there! When I got an offer from a startup last year, I asked about vesting schedules and equity percentages. Don't be afraid to push back and negotiate - you can always walk away if the offer isn't sweet enough"
