GeekBrains courses: Alpha or just marketing hype?

Thinking about signing up for their dev track, but is it actually alpha or just a total cash grab? I need to know if the curriculum gives you a real edge in the job market or if it's just marketing fluff. Anyone here actually finish a course and land a gig, or is it just vaporware?

I've taken a few courses on GeekBrains and my experience was pretty average, to be honest. The materials were decent, but nothing that you couldn't find for free online. Their projects section was actually pretty cool, though, and it's worth the price just for that alone.
