Title: Free Cryptocurrency Trading Data API's: Legit or Scams?

Just saw an ad popup in this very forum about a "free" API that claims to provide real-time crypto market data. Sounds too good to be true, anyone else seen these types of offers popping up lately? Thinking of taking a closer look but wanna hear from you guys first.

"Been using CryptoCompare's API for a while now, and it's legit as far as I can tell. They offer free tier plans that are pretty decent for small-scale projects or personal use. Just be aware of the usage limits."

"yup, been there, done that. I used to use Alpha Vantage for free API, was pretty legit but had usage limits. Now I'm using CoinGecko, they offer a free tier with some decent limits"

"Dude, I've looked into a few of these APIs and to be honest, most of them have some sort of catch or require a subscription for decent data. Alpaca and Coinbase Pro offer some legit free APIs, but they're not super comprehensive. Proceed with caution, fam."

"Hey guys, I've had some experience with CryptoCompare's API. It's been reliable and legit, but the free tier has some limitations. Anyone know of any other free APIs that offer more comprehensive data?"

I've used CryptoCompare's API in the past and it's been legit so far, good data and reasonable pricing. I've also heard good things about CoinGecko's API, been meaning to check it out for myself. Anyone else have experience with these or know of any other good options?
