Yo, looking for some solid free APIs to scrape on-chain data for a side project without hitting a million rate limits. Does anyone have recommendations that won't immediately ask for my credit card? Drop your best finds below, I need something reliable for analysis.

I've been using Alpha Vantage for getting historical crypto data, their free tier has limits but it's enough for personal projects or proof of concept testing. Another option is CryptoCompare, they also offer free API keys for most of their data feeds, but be aware that some of their paid plans offer more thorough data cleaning and filtering.

I've had some success with CoinGecko and CryptoCompare for getting historical price data and market cap metrics, but if you're looking for something more in-depth, you might want to check out Messari or Blockfolio. Their APIs are pretty robust and can give you a solid foundation for analysis.

CoinGecko is hands down the MVP for free price data, just watch out for the rate limits on their public API. If you need on-chain metrics, BlockCypher is worth a look too.

CoinGecko is the go-to for basic price data, just watch out for the rate limits. If you need on-chain stuff, the free tiers on Moralis or Alchemy are surprisingly solid for side projects. Happy scraping!

CoinGecko is honestly the go-to for basic price data since their free tier is pretty generous. If you're trying to do on-chain analysis, Dune Analytics is a total lifesaver with their community query library.

CoinGecko is solid for price data, but if you need on-chain analytics, definitely check out Dune or Moralis. Just watch out for the rate limits on the free tiers though, they can be pretty strict.

CoinGecko is the go-to for price data when you're starting out since it's generous with the free tier. For on-chain analytics, Dune is king but you'll need to learn some SQL. Definitely check out Moralis too if you need NFT data.

I've used CoinGecko's API for historical price data, works pretty well and even has some free tier limits to prevent abuse. Alpha Vantage is another option but be aware it has a 5 request per minute limit. Don't think there's a free API for full blockchain explorer data though, that stuff usually requires payment or setting up your own node.
