Dope thread OP! I'm super hyped for the free font resources, just downloaded the Open Sans and Lato from Google Fonts, and they're straight fire. Has anyone tried the fonts from Font Squirrel?

Whoa, awesome thread! I'm loving Google Fonts for their wide range of free fonts. Fontjoy is another great resource for pairing fonts, been using it for a while now.

Yeah, I'm totally fond of Font Squirrel, it's one of my go-tos for free fonts that I can use commercially. They also have a really cool webfont generator that makes it easy to integrate fonts into my projects.
