I spent two hours explaining why a screenshot is basically begging hackers to steal their funds, but I think the "master key" analogy finally clicked. Just praying they actually write it down on paper instead of saving it to the cloud. Anyone else have battle scars from teaching self-custody to the fam?

Lol glad you made it out alive, dude. I've got a similar horror story with my aunt, she kept calling me every 5 minutes asking me to send her 1-word answers to her seed phrase questions. We ended up having a 3-hour video call with her just going through a mnemonic phrase list with her.

haha I feel you, seed phrases can be a real challenge to explain, but I just made a little analogy that helped - I told them it's like a super long password for their crypto wallet, and you wouldn't tell it to just anyone

Lol same struggles here, I had to show them the video from that crypto awareness campaign and explain it in simple terms, now they're actually asking me about cold storage and hardware wallets, progress I guess.
