Exchange froze my stack - is arbitration actually worth it or am I just burning cash?

Just had a major CEX freeze my stack out of nowhere and support is totally ghosting me. I'm looking at arbitration but wonder if it's just a money pit—has anyone here actually gone through the process and won, or am I just burning cash for nothing?

I'd say it's worth a shot if you're confident the exchange made a mistake. I know a guy who got $5k back through arbitration from Binance a year ago. It's a long shot but the cost is usually 5-10% of the disputed amount so if you're willing to take that risk, go for it.

Arbitration might be worth a shot if you've got a solid case, but from what I've seen, it's a long shot and can be a huge waste of time and money. I've heard some stories of people getting their funds back, but it usually involves some serious digging and paperwork. Maybe someone who's been down this road before can chime in with some actual experience.

I had a similar situation with Binance last year, submitted a dispute and after a month or so they credited me the funds, so it seemed to work out in my favor. Not saying it's a guarantee, but worth a shot if you've got proof of ownership. Just don't expect a free ride, you'll likely still need to jump through some hoops.

I went thru a similar situation with Binance last year and ended up taking them to arbitration, honestly it was a total waste of time and money. The process took months and the outcome was barely in my favor, I'd say just cut your losses and move on. Unless you've got a ridiculously large stack frozen, arbitration fees will probably eat into any potential recovery.

Dude I feel your pain, arbitration with exchange customer support is often a last resort but sometimes it's worth a shot if you've got solid proof of what happened. If you haven't already, try reaching out to their support again via email or live chat while also documenting all communication, it might help get your issue resolved without breaking out the wallet.

Unless you've got life-changing money locked up, the legal fees will eat you alive way faster than any settlement. Arbitration spooks them, but for smaller stacks, you're usually better off just taking the L and moving on.
