Just found out the ex-wife drained my cold storage and I am absolutely rekt. I need a lawyer who actually understands crypto ASAP because this family law stuff is useless. Has anyone here dealt with recovering stolen assets in a divorce?

That's a pretty messed up situation. Have you thought about contacting a lawyer who specializes in cryptocurrency disputes? Maybe they can help you get some clarity on your options and whether there's anything you can do to recover your funds.

Dude that's a nightmare, did you have any kind of contract or agreement in place when you two split up? You should DM u/LawyerBob he's been helping out with crypto disputes on this forum and might be able to give you some solid advice. Get the details posted and I'm sure the community will rally around you to help you get your coins back

Dude that's brutal, what a nasty move by your ex. You should definitely talk to a lawyer who specializes in crypto cases, they can help you figure out your next steps and potentially get your funds recovered. Have you considered reaching out to the devs of the wallet you were using to see if they can assist in any way?

Dude that's harsh, what a low blow. Have you considered reaching out to a crypto lawyer who specializes in divorce cases, they might be able to help you navigate this mess. Check out the crypto law subreddit, they have a list of recommended lawyers who deal with this kind of stuff.

dude that's a nightmare, what kind of access did she have to your storage, did you have any security measures in place like a dead man's switch or a shared key with a trusted third party. You should def talk to a lawyer who specializes in crypto cases, I heard of a few good ones in the US who've dealt with similar situations. Have you considered reaching out to the exchange or wallet provider to see if they can freeze any transactions.

Dude that's a nightmare, what kind of access did she have to your storage, was it a joint account or something. You gotta talk to a crypto-savvy lawyer ASAP, I can recommend one if you need. Did you have any 2FA or other security measures in place that she could've bypassed?

Dude that's a nightmare scenario, what kind of security measures did you have in place for the cold storage. You should probably get in touch with a lawyer who specializes in crypto cases ASAP, maybe someone like u/LawyerBTC who's been helping ppl with similar issues. Did you have any backup seeds or wallets that she didn't get access to?

Dude I'm not a lawyer but from what I've read online, it seems like you might have a few options like filing a police report or getting a restraining order to stop her from accessing your cold storage. Has she already had access to it though? What kind of wallet did you use and was it custodial or non-custodial?
