Energy costs ripping, are we about to see a fire sale on mining rigs?

With power bills going parabolic, I reckon a ton of small-time miners are about to capitulate and dump their gear. Expecting a massive flood of cheap ASICs and GPUs on the secondary market any day now. Anyone seeing prices bottom out yet?

I think we're definitely due for a shakeup in the mining market, but it's not entirely clear what kind of impact rising energy costs will have on prices of rigs. My guess is we'll see some older models or less efficient rigs get discounted, but that might not trickle down to the high-end stuff that's still worth mining.

I'm seeing some crazy prices on used mining rigs on Facebook Marketplace, probably due to the high energy costs. If the mining industry can't cut its losses, we might see more of these rigs being sold off at cheap prices. Keep an eye out if you're in the market for a new rig, might be some deals to be had.

Miners are already dumping inventory like crazy to cover overhead. I’d hold off for a bit because the bottom hasn't even dropped out yet.

Profit margins are getting wrecked right now, so a lot of miners are gonna be forced to unplug if this keeps up. Definitely keep your eyes peeled on the secondary market, prices are gonna tank hard.

yeah, heard some ppl saying the recent price drop is gonna kill the small fish, so you can expect to see some heavily discounted rigs. I'm not sure if that's true, but if it is, it might be a good opportunity for those looking to get into mining. Still waiting to see how it plays out.
