Does Core 31 finally tame the mempool chaos or just mask deeper scaling issues?

Just updated to Core 31 and the fees look chill, but honestly, it feels like we're just kicking the can down the road. Are we actually fixing the throughput limits or just papering over the cracks until the next bull run? Curious if anyone's dug into the code to see if this is actually sustainable.

I've been running Core 31 for a bit and I'd say it's done a decent job of reducing mempool congestion on my node, but I still notice occasional blocks being delayed. Not seeing the same kind of throughput as I did before the upgrade, so I think it's still too early to call it a complete fix. Anyone else seeing similar results?

I'm not gonna lie, my transaction times have become significantly better with Core 31, but I'm also seeing a lot of empty blocks being mined which makes me wonder if we're really addressing the underlying issues or just delaying the inevitable. The mempool does seem quieter but I'm curious if this is a short-term relief or a sign of bigger changes to come. Does anyone have any insight into the block propagation times and how that's been affected by Core 31?

It’s basically a band-aid fix since we haven't actually touched the block size limit. Fees look chill for now, but wait until the next hype cycle hits and we’ll see if it actually holds up.

Honestly, it feels like a solid band-aid that optimizes the plumbing rather than fixing the throughput limits. Fees might look chill now, but the second volume spikes we're right back to square one until L2s actually take over.

Honestly feels like we're just kicking the can down the road. Fees might chill for a minute, but the mempool’s gonna flood again the second volume spikes. We need real L2 adoption, not just duct tape on Layer 1.

It feels like a temporary band-aid rather than a real fix. Fee markets are still gonna get wrecked once the next bull run pumps volume.

I'm not sure if Core 31 is a real game-changer just yet, but it does seem to alleviate some congestion in the mempool. That being said, the underlying block size cap is still a limiting factor, and I'm still skeptical about the long-term impact.

I've been running Core 31 for a few days now and the mempool seems more stable, but I'm not convinced it's a long-term solution. The fees are still pretty high during peak hours, which makes me think the underlying scaling issues are still there. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it holds up during the next big pump to know for sure.

Fees are chill for now, but let's be real—it's just a band-aid until the next spam wave hits. We're basically just kicking the can down the road instead of fixing the actual block space limits.
