Hey guys, just a heads up - I'm thinking about taking the plunge and swapping out the battery pack in my 2020 Model 3. I've heard rumors of Tesla owners making a few grand on the side by selling their old packs to third-party vendors. Has anyone else done this? Any advice for a noob like me?

"Dude, I've been following that thread on Reddit, where some noob tried swapping the battery in their Tesla for a profit. They're talking big numbers, but what about the warranty and potential safety risks? Wouldn't wanna risk a recall or worse, a fire."

"Dude, I gotta say, swapping out your Tesla battery to get that 100% full-range might sound sweet, but it's not for the faint of heart. You're looking at $10k+ for the parts, plus the labor, and then there's the voiding of your warranty thing to consider. Still worth it for some of you early adopters, but for the rest of us peasants, it's best to just grin and bear it with those 'only 70% charged' messages"

"Yoooo, I'm no expert but I do know that battery swaps on Teslas are a real thing. It's not just about throwing a new battery in, though - it's a bit more complex than that. You'll need some serious knowledge of electrical engineering and maybe some serious cash to make it happen"
