Hey guys, I'm stoked to kick off this thread about learning to code and getting into the world of computer science. For those new to the scene, I think it's a no-brainer that knowing how to code can open doors for endless opportunities - from building your own tech projects to landing a sweet job in the industry. Who else is with me on this coding journey?

"Yo, gotta disagree with the 'crush IT' part, bro. Coding's not just about outsmarting everyone, it's about solving real-world problems and making a positive impact. That's what gets me stoked about comp sci, not competition."

"Lowkey agree with this thread, comp sci is where it's at these days. Got a friend who just landed a job at a top crypto dev firm after teaching himself to code, it's crazy how quickly you can make a name in the field if you put in the work. What coding languages are you guys recommending for newbies?"

"Yooo, what's good guys! I'm actually taking online Comp Sci courses right now and letting me tell you, it's been a wild ride. Has anyone else here tried 'FreeCodeCamp' or 'Coursera' for their coding journey?"

"Hey OP, just wanna say thanks for sharing these resources, been looking to pick up Python and these links seem solid. Anyone else have any recs for beginners, especially when it comes to web dev?"

"Yooo, been there done that and still learning new skills. I recommend checking out some free online resources like Codecademy or Coursera to get started with coding. Been experimenting with some web dev and it's been a blast"

"Yooo, gotta say, coding is like a superpower. If you're serious about crushing it in the comp sci world, I'd recommend starting with Python and then branching out to other langos like Java or C++. Good luck, noobs!"
