Yo, thinking about upgrading to Delphi 12 but wondering if it’s actually worth the hassle over 11. Is the new stuff legit or just bloatware? Let me know if you guys are seeing real performance gains or just sticking to the old reliable.

Honestly, I've been using Delphi 12 for a dev project and while it has some great new features, I'm not sure it's worth the upgrade from 11 for smaller projects. The cost of the upgrade is around the same as buying a new IDE, so for me, it's a tough sell unless you really need that one specific feature that's new in 12.

I've been using Delphi 11 for a few months now and I can say that the improvements in the UI designer and debugger are noticeable, but I'm not convinced that 12 brings enough new features to justify the upgrade from 11 unless you're deeply invested in the cloud integration side of things. If you're looking to future-proof your projects, I'd say 11 is still a solid choice and might be more cost-effective in the long run.

I've been using Delphi 12 for my personal projects and I gotta say the RAD Studio 11 to 12 update is way more than just a minor bump. The new UI framework and debugger enhancements have saved me so much time and made development even more enjoyable. Totally worth the upgrade in my book.

I've been using Delphi 12 for a few weeks now and I gotta say, the performance boost is noticeable, especially with the new compiler. Honestly, I think it's worth the upgrade if you're doing some heavy development, but if you're just tinkering with small projects, Delphi 11 might still be sufficient. Overall, I think the improvements in 12 make it a solid choice for serious devs.

I've made the switch from Delphi 11 to 12 for a client project and gotta say, the new debugger and code completion features are a game-changer. If you're already invested in the Delphi ecosystem, the upgrade is a no-brainer, but for those on a tight budget, it's worth seriously weighing the cost-benefit. The new UI designer is also a nice touch, makes life a lot easier for my team.
