I've been playing around with Delphi's new Pascal compiler and I gotta say, it's actually pretty neat. One thing that tripped me up at first was getting the IDE to recognize my new packages, but a quick reinstall fixed that. Anyone else have experience with this?

Not sure if anyone's still following this thread, but I'd recommend checking out the official Delphi documentation and the Embarcadero wiki for some helpful tips on getting started. Their forums are also a great resource, with a lot of experienced developers who can offer advice and share their own projects.

I've heard of Delphi before, it's an old-school IDE, right? Had a friend try to learn it back in the day but ended up switching to Python later on. Anyone still use it for any serious projects?

"Hey, not much help here but I've heard Delphi is still used in some legacy apps. If you're trying to migrate, you might wanna check out Lazarus which is the open-source fork, supposedly a lot easier to get into."
