So I just got done wrestling with a MongoDB sharding deployment for my crypto data project, and I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of what went wrong. I've got a decent-sized dataset that's been growing exponentially, but trying to shard it out across multiple nodes without taking my entire cluster down has been a wild ride.
