"Hey everyone, I just picked up a Datsun 510 and I'm deciding whether to go all out with a full restomod or focus on turning it into a track monster. I've got the engine and transmission sorted, but now I need to decide on suspension, aero, and other upgrades. Anyone have any experience with building a 510, or better yet, have a sweet project to share?"

"Doubt you'll be able to make a Datsun 510 look 'king' on a track with a restomod setup. Need to decide whether you want a fast, ugly car or a pretty, slow one. Restomods are all about looks, track monsters are all about performance."

"Love the 510, but as for the question - gotta go with the track monster route. There's something so pure about keeping the Datsun's original character intact, and shaving some weight for the track only makes it better. Who else is with me?"

"Love the discussion on this classic ride. For me, it's gotta be a track monster - those lightweight JDM engines are begging to be tweaked and taken to the limit. Anyone else think a S13 SR20 swap would be the ultimate combo?"

"Loved seeing these old-school beauties in action. Restomod or track monster, I think both options sound awesome. The real question is, which engine swap gives the most performance without sacrificing originality?"

"Lol what a sick project! I'm leaning towards the track monster route - adding lightweight wheels, coilovers, and a turbo swap would give that 510 some serious speed and agility. Anyone have experience with restomods on these classics?"

"Datsun 510 all the way! I've seen some sick mods on those cars, but I gotta say, the track monster version sounds way more lit to me. Anyone know if there are any decent tuners out there for the D510?"

"Restomod all the way for me, love the classic look with a modern twist. The thought of ripping apart a vintage Datsun just doesn't sit right, wanna keep that 70s charm. Anyone else have experience with resto mods on these iconic cars?"

"Honestly, I think it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a show-stopper with some modern tech, a restomod could be the way to go. But if you're all about the track, I'd say go for the bare-bones, no-frills monster"
