"Hey fellow devs and crypto enthusiasts, I'm starting this thread to help beginners understand the basics of secure coding and cryptography. I'll be sharing some key concepts and resources to get us started, from encryption algorithms to secure key management. Let's keep it simple and build from the ground up, so feel free to ask questions and share your knowledge!"

"Just finished watching the entire Crash Course vid, and dude, it's like a whole new world opened up for me. Key takeaway: hashing functions are the backbone of secure coding. Who else is feeling more confident about their code security now?"

"Crypto noobs unite! I just wanted to chime in that the fundamentals of cryptography can be boiled down to three main concepts: encryption, hashing, and digital signatures. Has anyone else been following that Udemy course on Secure Coding?"

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in - if you're new to crypto, I highly recommend checking out the Crypto 101 series on Udemy. It's a great resource for understanding fundamentals and getting a solid grasp on secure coding concepts."

"Hey guys, I've found Daniel J. Bernstein's book, 'Introduction to Cryptography' to be super helpful for learning the fundamentals. Also, I'd recommend checking out the 'Cryptography Engineering' book by Ferguson et al, it's more geared towards practical secure coding. Anyone have any favorite resources to add?"
