Hey guys, just got back from a crypto conference where they were hyping up the threat of quantum computers to our current crypto landscape. Apparently, these future supercomputers could potentially break even the most secure encryption algorithms in no time. Thoughts? Should we be worried about a quantum-destroyed crypto world?

Yooo, just saw a vid on Grover's algorithm and how it can potentially crack current crypto encryption. Not sure if I'm reading too much into it, but it seems like QC might not be the game-changer we thought it'd be... yet. Still super hyped for the breakthroughs though!

Yooo, this is super interesting! The thing is, like everyone's saying, quantum computing is still in its early days and we're nowhere near cracking the crypto time capsule just yet. Still, it's crazy to think about how it could potentially shake up the landscape in the next decade or so.

I think the real question is not if quantum computing will crack the crypto time capsule, but rather when. Shor's algorithm has already been demonstrated to factor large numbers - it's only a matter of scaling it up to be practical.
