"Hey guys, I've been involved in a few crypto projects and every time I'm asked to sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA). I get it, they want to protect their IP, but in my opinion, it's often used as a way to keep devs from sharing info with each other, stifling innovation. Are NDAs just a necessary evil or are they overkill in the crypto space?"

I've been in projects where CAs were a necessity, like when dealing with partners that have sensitive tech. But honestly, I've also had experiences where they felt like overkill, just trying to protect themselves from potential lawsuits. Guess it depends on the partnership and the IP being shared.

"Totally agree that CAs (confidentiality agreements) can be overkill in the crypto space. I mean, we're dealing with public blockchain tech here, so some level of disclosure is inevitable. Most devs just want to share their ideas and get feedback, not lock everything down with a NDA."
