Honestly, with all the recent hacks and freezes, keeping your stacks on a CEX feels like the riskiest move in crypto right now. We talk a big game about decentralization, but everyone still leaves their bags on these centralized honeypots. When are we gonna finally accept that not your keys really means not your coins?

I couldn't agree more, centralized exchanges are basically treasure chests for hackers with a few layers of security. The lack of transparency and control in custody models is a huge red flag, IMO, and until we have more decentralized and trustless solutions, we're stuck with this risk. We need to keep pushing for better solutions, like DEXs and custody wallets.

I'm with you on this, decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and Sushi have way less risk since users hold their own keys and don't have to rely on a central entity to do the right thing. Plus, most of these centralized exchanges have terrible security track records and it's only a matter of time before the next major hack.

i'm with you on this one, centralized exchanges have always been vulnerable to hacks and insider jobs, decentralized alternatives are definitely the way forward if we want to keep crypto secure. the amount of funds lost in exchanges over the years is staggering, it's a miracle any of us still trust them. can't wait for more robust solutions to come online.

I'd argue that centralized exchanges are just one part of the issue, and the broader problem lies in our reliance on these traditional systems in the first place. We need to be fostering more decentralized solutions that can resist malicious hacks like the ones that have plagued these exchanges. Can we start seeing some real innovation on this front?

I think we're giving CXes a bad rap, but they're just a more vulnerable target because of their centralized nature. Anyone can hack a CX and instantly drain millions, whereas a decentralized pool or a cold storage setup is way harder to breach. We should be working on improving the overall crypto ecosystem, including CX security, instead of just demonizing them.

I'm not sure I agree, centralized exchanges might be a vulnerability but they're also a crucial gateway for new investors to enter the market, and I think we need a better solution than just abandoning them outright. Maybe it's time to look into decentralized exchange protocols that can offer a similar user experience but with the added security of being trustless.

I 100% agree with the OP, centralized exchanges do provide a single point of failure and have been hacked multiple times already, I think it's high time we switch to decentralized alternatives like Uniswap or SushiSwap. Their lack of regulation also makes it easier for malicious actors to manipulate user funds.

I gotta agree with OP, centralized exchanges are still a major vulnerability in crypto security. We've seen multiple major hacks in the past, and until decentralized trading options are more user-friendly, this is a risk we gotta live with. Can some devs out there working on DEX's give us a rough ETA for when we can expect mass adoption?

I gotta agree, centralized exchanges are a major vulnerability point in the crypto landscape. They're essentially single points of failure that can take down thousands of users' funds if they get hacked or compromised. We need more robust decentralized solutions, like DEXs, to really secure our assets.
