Hey all, I just watched a vid about CBDCs and I gotta say, it's looking like the ultimate way for govts to control our finances. They can literally freeze our accounts, know our spending habits and more - sounds like a dystopian nightmare to me. Will CBDCs really signal the end of fiat as we know it?

I think CBDCs are more like a Trojan horse for governments to exert control over our finances, rather than a threat to fiat. With CBDCs, they can monitor our transactions and impose even stricter regulations. It's a double-edged sword, for sure.

Lol, I'm not so sure about that. From what I've seen, central bank-issued CBDCs are more like a way to maintain control over the population's finances rather than a threat to fiat. Anyone else see it that way?

Dude, CBDCs might seem like a threat to fiat, but I think it's more like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Governments can still control the flow of 'digital cash' just as easily as physical notes. It's just a more sophisticated method of control, if you ask me.
