Been messing around with dropping power limits overnight to save on electricity, but I'm worried the lost hash rate is gonna bite me in the long run. Has anyone actually crunched the numbers to see if the efficiency gains outweigh the lower rewards? Dying to know if it's worth the headache or just a waste of time.

I've actually been experimenting with this myself and I think it makes sense, especially if you're mining coins that have a lot of fluctuation in value. By throttling your miner at night, you're still getting some revenue from the mining process, but you're also saving energy which can be a significant portion of your overall costs. Not sure about the "long run" part tho, we'd need some actual data to back that claim.
