Can Crypto's Dark Side Actually Be the Key to a More Resilient Market

Everyone keeps doom-scrolling over the endless scams and hacks, but maybe this chaos is exactly what we need to harden the stack. If the protocols can survive the worst actors, won't the survivors end up way more resilient than anything in TradFi?

that's an interesting take, but I'm not convinced that crypto's dark side can be spun as a positive, the lack of regulation has definitely led to some shady dealings that give the entire space a bad rep. If anything, I think we need to address these issues head-on rather than trying to find a silver lining.

Honestly, crypto's dark side like wash trading and market manipulation has been a major obstacle to adoption and legitimacy, and until we see more regulations and transparency, I think it's tough to say that's a key to a more resilient market. That being said, some of the newer and more decentralized projects are working to address these issues and create a more level playing field.

I'm not sure if the dark side of crypto is the key to a more resilient market, but I do think that addressing issues like regulation and security head-on is the first step. If we can create a stronger foundation by tackling our weaknesses, the market will be more resilient in the long run. That's just my two cents, not trying to sound like a know-it-all here.

I think some people are misunderstanding what "dark side" even means in this context. It's not all about scams and pump groups, but rather about how a decentralized market that's not bound by traditional regulations can attract more unsavory characters and expose us to some serious risks.

I think it's possible that the dark side of crypto, like hacking and scams, drives innovation in security and regulation that can actually strengthen the overall market. We've already seen some exchanges and platforms implementing stricter policies and better security measures in response to past hacks. In the end, it's all about learning from our mistakes and coming out stronger on the other side.
