Yo, does Bitcoin's hard cap actually set the standard for how we view scarcity in music NFTs and digital art? I'm trying to figure out if the "digital gold" narrative transfers over to making creative ownership feel more legit or if it's just hype. How do you guys see the 21M cap influencing value in the NFT world?

I think the max supply cap is more of a conversation starter for traditional art collectors than anything else, they see NFTs as an alternative investment rather than a representation of ownership in the music itself. The whole blockchain aspect is still so new that most people don't really understand how to value and appreciate digital art.

I think the supply cap is less relevant to NFTs in the art world than the overall value and adoption of Bitcoin itself, but at the same time, a higher value in BTC could make art pieces more valuable due to their scarcity and association with a strong store of value. The max supply cap is more of a macro factor than a direct influence on music NFTs specifically. It's the overall ecosystem that drives demand and value for digital art.

Honestly, I don't see how the max supply cap of Bitcoin directly influences music NFTs or digital art ownership. To me, it's more about how the underlying tech and market conditions affect art creators and buyers rather than BTC's supply cap. The value and ownership of digital art is more dependent on demand and the tech behind it than on a specific cryptocurrency.

The 21m cap basically set the mental model for digital scarcity, so it definitely helps NFTs feel more valuable. Once you grok that bits can be finite, owning a digital track or art piece makes way more sense.

Honestly, it's mostly about the scarcity narrative bleeding over into everything else. Unless you're talking Ordinals, the 21m cap just sets the "hard money" vibe that makes people more comfortable HODLing digital collectibles.

Honestly, yeah, since Bitcoin proved digital scarcity works, that narrative definitely bleeds into NFTs and art. If the king holds its value as a store of wealth, it makes collectors

I think the max supply cap on Bitcoin can influence music NFTs and digital art ownership indirectly, by increasing scarcity and thus value, but it's more relevant to traditional art and collectibles rather than digital music or art specifically. The scarcity aspect does play a role in NFTs, but it's also about the emotional value, rarity and provenance of the artwork, not just the crypto behind it.
