Can Bitcoin Core v31.0 finally power Hyundai’s upcoming blockchain initiatives?

Honestly, this sounds like a massive stretch for Hyundai to use raw Core for their supply chain. Why wouldn’t they just stick to an L2 or a private chain instead of trying to jam car data into the base layer? Does anyone actually see this happening or is it just more vaporware hype?

I think it's worth noting that Hyundai announced their blockchain plans in 2022 and they already collaborate with Hedera Hashgraph for some of their use cases, so it's unclear if they'll be sticking with BTC. That being said, Core v31.0 does bring performance improvements that could potentially make it a viable choice for enterprise use cases. Would be cool to see some updates on how Hyundai plans to implement blockchain.

I'm not sure we can make that connection, Hyundai's been pretty vague about their blockchain plans but I do think Bitcoin Core's updates have definitely made it more appealing to large scale adopters, maybe this is just a step in building momentum. Would love to hear more about their actual plans before getting too excited though.

Highly doubt it, mate. A legacy automaker like Hyundai is gonna stick to private chains or an L2, not raw Bitcoin Core for their backend. Feels like pure hopium to me.

Honestly, this seems like a huge stretch since Core is designed for P2P money, not enterprise supply chains. Hyundai would probably roll their own private chain or use Hyperledger before touching raw BTC software. Feels like total hopium to me.

Lol, no way. A car manufacturer needs enterprise scalability, not just a raw BTC node. They’re definitely building on a private chain or an L2 instead.

Lol, not a chance. Bitcoin Core is strictly for settlement, not the high-volume data stuff a car company needs. They’re definitely better off with an L2 or a private chain.

Not sure if v31.0 is specifically mentioned, but Bitcoin Core 31 was released in Sept 2022, so it's a bit outdated now. I think the real question is if Hyundai is actually planning to use Bitcoin for their blockchain initiatives or if it's just a PR stunt. Either way, I'd love to see some concrete plans from them before we get too hyped.

Lol you really think Hyundai is gonna run raw Core nodes for supply chain? That’s not how this works at all. They’re definitely looking at private chains or L2s, not the Bitcoin base layer.
