Title: Bypassing VAC on 90's CS, Still Possible?

I'm feeling nostalgic and was wondering if anyone still remembers those sweet cheat detection days. Back in the 90's, was it possible to completely bypass Valve's Anti-Cheat (VAC) on classic Counter-Strike titles like CS 1.5 or CS Source? Any old-school hackers out there got some tricks to share?
