"Hey guys, just wanted to share a recent experience I had building a proof of concept for a crypto exchange on a super tight budget. We're talking $500 for hardware and open-source software. I managed to scale a MySQL database to handle 10k+ queries per second, but boy was it a wild ride"

"Lol, I feel ya, scalability on a tight budget can be a real nightmare. I had a similar struggle with my own project, ended up using a load balancer and a NoSQL db to distribute the load. Anyone use Redis for caching?"
