Hey guys, I'm stumped on this one. I've been running a remote node on a rented VPS (Virtual Private Server) and I've been experiencing crazy disconnects and lag spikes for the past 24 hours. My VPN (Virtual Private Network) says I'm still connected, but my node's logs show it dropping connections non-stop - any ideas what could be causing this?

Hey OP, I'd say it's worth checking your VPN settings first. Sometimes a mismatched server or weak connection can cause those disconnects. Have you tried switching to a different VPN or checking your internet speed?

Hey OP, had you checked your node's logs for any suspicious activity or connection drops? Sometimes these weird disconnects can be caused by a faulty VPN or your internet provider's router. Also, make sure your node's software is up to date, might be a security patch fix the issue.

Yo, OP - have you tried updating your VPN or checking your IP address for any suspicious activity? I've had similar issues with my own remote node and it turned out to be a dodgy update on my end. Worth checking the VPN's logs too, might give some clues.

I've had similar issues with disconnects, and I was worried I got hacked, but turns out it was just a VPN bug. Have you tried switching to another VPN service or a different protocol?

I've had my fair share of weird disconnects on my remote nodes, and most of the time it was due to a misconfigured VPN or some dodgy internet service provider issues. Have you tried checking your VPN logs to see if there are any errors or suspicious activity? Also, if possible, try swapping to a different VPN server or provider to rule out any issues with the current one.
