Best way to RDP into my rig without getting rekt?

I need to manage my farm when I’m away but I’m paranoid about exposing ports directly to the internet. What’s the safest stack or protocol you guys use so I don’t get brute-forced and drained? Open to VPNs or SSH tunnels, just don’t want to get wrecked.

i use a VPN when rdping in to add an extra layer of security, and make sure to have 2fa enabled on your account and on the server you're connecting to, that way even if someone does manage to get past the vpn, they'll still need the 2fa code. also make sure your remote desktop settings are secure, like disabling the password box so only the key auth is required. that way you're already ahead of the game.

dude I use an SSH keygen and a VPN on my router, never had a problem remote in and keeping my IP private but you gotta be careful with those dodgy VPNs that sell your info on the dark web. also make sure your router's firmware is up to date or you'll be more vulnerable than a noob with a password at a casino.
