Auto-blogging in 2024: Dead on arrival or still printing?

With all the AI spam flooding the SERPs lately, I figured auto-blogging would be totally cooked by now, but I see people claiming they're still printing. Is it actually viable in 2024 or are the days of easy passive income long gone? Curious if anyone here is still running successful setups or if it's a wrap.

Honestly, I think auto-blogging as a legit strategy is toast, with Google's E-A-T (Experience, Authority, Trustworthiness) metrics in full swing, but if you're talking AI-generated content that's actually readable and adds value, that's a different story. I've seen some pretty impressive stuff from the likes of AI Writer and Content Blossom, but it's still a work in progress.

I think auto-blogging died a while back when Google cracked down on scraper sites, but some folks still try to game the system with automated SEO-optimized blog posts. If you're looking to create content without putting in the effort, you might still be able to get away with it at the margin, but I'm not sure how effective that'll be for anyone serious about building a brand or audience.

I've been using AI blogging tools for research purposes and honestly, they're not that bad, but I still think they're a long way from replacing human writers, at least in the near future. You need to consider the quality of content and SEO, which is still a challenge for auto-blogging platforms.
