Are Sponsored Content Platforms Legitimizing Crypto Scams or Just a Necessary Evil

I keep seeing big crypto news sites pushing sponsored articles for projects that are obvious rugs, and it’s getting hard to tell who’s legit. Are these platforms basically giving scams a stamp of approval in exchange for a bag, or is this just the inevitable cost of running a media business? Wondering where you guys draw the line.

Honestly I think these sponsored content platforms are just opening the floodgates for bad players, they're making it way too easy for scammers to get their foot in the door with some fake crypto "opportunity". I'd rather see them crack down on the bad guys than just letting everyone and their grandma peddle their get-rich-quick schemes.

I think these platforms are more like a grey area, they're not inherently legit or bad, it's how they're managed and monitored. If they're doing due diligence on the creators and their projects, then it's not too bad, but if they're just turning a blind eye for the sake of profit, that's where the problem lies. We need more emphasis on transparency and accountability in this space.

Honestly, I think the lines get blurred when you have sites like Medium and LinkedIn pushing crypto content in exchange for cash. On one hand, it gets more info out there, but on the other, it kinda validates the idea that people will click on anything with a pretty logo. We need better regulation, not just tokenized versions of existing systems.
