Are AI content farms actually profitable rn or just a meme?

Everyone and their mom is launching AI blogs or faceless channels right now, but I gotta wonder if the ad revenue actually covers the API costs and saturation. Feels like the only ones printing are the people selling courses on how to do it. Anyone here actually pulling profit or is this just another hype cycle?

I've seen some successful AI content farms, but it really depends on the niche and quality of the content. One friend of mine was making like $5k/month on a subreddit for AI-generated art, but another guy I know got banned from the platform after a month or so, so yeah, it's all over the place. Maybe we should share more examples and see what works in practice.

Honestly, I've seen some people claiming to rake in 6 figures from AI content farms, but from my own experience, it's more of a side hustle at best. You gotta put in the work to optimize content, and even then, it's still a numbers game – some months you're killing it, others you're barely scraping by.

Honestly, I think it's both, depending on what you're looking for. They can be super profitable if you have a solid SEO strategy and can churn out content quickly, but at the same time, it's also a bit of a meme because it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I mean, Google's algorithms are always changing, so you gotta stay on your toes to avoid getting flagged.

I've got a buddy in the content creation space who just started one for AI-generated blog posts and he's already raking it in. He says it's around $200-$500 a month just from Google Ads, which isn't too shabby considering the low overhead.

i've talked to a few people who've dabbled in AI content farming and they've all said the profit margins are super thin, it'd take a massive volume of content to even break even, let alone turn a profit, so yeah, it seems like more of a meme than a viable business model rn.

Ive been following this space for a bit and from what I can tell, some of these AI farms are actually turning a profit, especially the ones cranking out low-quality blog posts and YouTube vids. That being said, the margins are super thin and its mostly a numbers game at this point. I think we'll see a lot of them fold once the novelty wears off and ad revenue dries up.

It was easy mode a few months ago, but now Google’s algo updates are nuking those sites hard. It’s basically a saturated race to the bottom rn.

Saturation is real and ad revenue is trash unless you’re pumping out mass volume. Most platforms are flagging that stuff instantly now, so good luck surviving a ban wave. It’s a massive grind for diminishing returns tbh.

It’s definitely oversaturated now unless you’re running some serious automation, so don't expect easy money. The ad revenue margins are basically non-existent after the last Google update, so most new farms are just burning cash on API fees.

Honestly, it’s oversaturated unless you’re spinning up thousands of sites at once. Ad revenue is trash and Google is de-indexing AI spam fast, so the window is closing. You’re basically fighting for pennies at this point.

I've been looking into this for a bit and from what I can tell, the real money's in the high-ticket services like writing bespoke reports or generating AI art commissioned by businesses, not just the low-level content mills. That being said, I do know someone who's making decent cash with a well-optimized Medium publication using AI-generated content, so I think it's still worth exploring.
