AI is taking over. Is the copywriting profession actually cooked?

With LLMs churning out passable copy in seconds, it feels like the bottom of the market is just evaporating for human writers. Clients are already swapping us out for cheap prompts to handle their SEO and emails, so is there actually a future left for us? Seems like the profession is getting cooked unless you're a top-tier creative.

I think it's a bit dramatic to say the profession is "cooked", AI is definitely a game changer but it can augment human capabilities more than replace them, especially in creative fields where unique perspectives and tone are still valued. Copywriting is all about understanding audience and crafting resonant messaging, AI can do some of that but it's not a one-to-one substitute for a skilled human writer.

I mean, it's true AI-generated content is getting more realistic, but it's still no match for the emotional connection and human touch a good copywriter brings to a brand's messaging. I think the real danger lies in relying too heavily on AI for creative work, losing sight of what makes human writers valuable.

I don't think so, copywriting is all about communicating the right message to the right people and AI is still a long way from replicating the nuance of human emotion and empathy in writing. Plus, AI can only do so much, it still needs humans to generate ideas and set creative direction.

I don't think AI is a game-changer for copywriting just yet, people are still pretty bad at writing a compelling sales pitch, AI can generate some decent content but it's still missing that human touch. Plus, AI-generated content can be easily flagged as spam, so it's not a replacement for real people.

Nah, it’s not cooked, just evolving. AI kills the boring grunt work, but you still need humans for the actual strategy and soul. Just learn to leverage the tools or get left behind.

I don't think AI is a total loss for copywriting, but it's definitely changing the game – AI can come up with ideas and drafts, but human touch and nuance are still hard to replicate, especially for unique tone and style. We'll see more AI-assisted copywriting, but I'm not convinced it'll replace skilled writers anytime soon.

Nah, this is just massive FUD. AI churns out generic slop, but clients still need humans for the actual strategy and brand voice. Adapt or die, simple as.

Nah, it’s only cooked for the people churning out generic filler content. AI output is still pretty mid without a human guiding the narrative.

Nah, just the lazy ones are gonna get rekt. AI pumps out endless slop, but people still pay for actual personality and strategy. You just gotta adapt to the new meta.

I think it's a bit premature to say copywriting is done for, AI can definitely help with some tasks but it lacks the human touch and creativity that a good copywriter brings. I've seen some AI generated content and while it's getting better it's still pretty generic and unengaging. As long as clients want unique and compelling copy I think there'll always be a place for human writers.

Only the boilerplate stuff is getting wrecked, but real creative strategy is still safe. You gotta learn to wield the AI as a tool or yeah, you’re toast. Adapt or die basically.
