Thinking about adding a crypto checkout to my handmade shop but not sure if the tax headache is actually worth it. Is it a legit move for more sales or just a huge flex that nobody uses? Anyone here running a small biz with crypto payments seeing any real demand?

Honestly, if done right it can be worth it, but I'd say it depends on your target audience and the fees involved, some people are all into crypto and will use it for everything, but for others it's just a hassle. I had a good experience with a crypto payment processor though, they took care of the transaction fees and made the whole process pretty seamless.

I personally think it's worth the hassle at this point, even if volumes are low. It's becoming more mainstream and can be a significant differentiator for your brand, especially if your target audience is younger and more tech-savvy. Plus, if you're selling high-ticket items, the fees aren't as much of a concern.

Honestly, unless your customers are huge crypto natives, it’s probably more hassle than it’s worth right now. Dealing with volatility and tax headaches just for the flex isn't worth it. Stick to fiat for now and keep it simple.

Honestly, unless you're using a processor that auto-converts to fiat, the tax headache just isn't worth it for a small shop. It’s mostly a flex right now, but you might snag a few extra sales from the crypto-native crowd. Just be ready for the volatility if you decide to HODL the payments.

I've been accepting crypto payments in my online store for a year now and honestly it's been a mixed bag - some months I get a decent amount of crypto sales, but most of the time it's just a handful of transactions. The fees can be a killer too, so you gotta weigh the pros and cons before deciding if it's worth it for your handmade shop. For me, it's more about future-proofing and being able to say I offer it, even if it's not a huge revenue stream.

Honestly, if you use a payment processor it's zero hassle and opens you up to a niche market that loves spending their bags. Just auto-convert to fiat so you don't get wrecked by volatility, otherwise it really is just a flex.

Honestly, unless your target audience is super online, it’s probably just a flex. The tax reporting headache for a handmade shop definitely isn’t worth the few extra sales you might get.

Honestly, unless you’re targeting tech-savvy buyers, it’s prolly more trouble than it’s worth with the tax headache and volatility. If you use a processor that auto-converts to fiat it’s fine, but otherwise it feels like a massive flex. Don't overcomplicate your stack unless you really love doing extra accounting.
