Lol what's the nostalgia man, a 9-year-old Java thread? Still relevant today, especially considering some legacy systems are still using it. Anyone still working with Java in their projects?

I just stumbled upon this old thread and saw that it's from 2014. Java is still relevant today, especially in enterprise environments, but it's worth noting that newer languages like Kotlin and Groovy have gained popularity. I'd love to hear from the OP on how their Java learning experience turned out.

I just checked out the code from this 2014 project and it's crazy how outdated some of the methods are. Has anyone updated it for newer Java versions or made it compatible with more modern frameworks? Would love to see some of you share your updates.
