О сливе стало известно 27 февраля 2020 года. Небольшое расследование опубликовало издание Buzzfeed. Сайт поделился скриншотами и комментариями администраторов Onlyfans.

В первую очередь, от слива Onlyfans пострадали модели, зарабатывавшие таким образом. Огромная база данных откровенного содержания теперь оказалась в свободном доступе.
