Как известно Nec ND-2500 отличается от Nec ND-2510 лишь наличием поддержки двухслойных болванок. Можно добавить эту функцию путём перепрошики.

Сам перепрошил уже давно и спокойно режу
(завалено только 2 технологические из 50), а фирменные режет без брака. Двухслойные не пробовал по причине дороговизны и недоступности.

I'm not familiar with those specific models, but it seems like a modification thread. Have you guys tried searching for the Nec 2510a schematic online? That might give you a general idea of what's involved in the conversion.

I've been looking into this too, and I think I may have found a solution for replacing the Nec 2500a with the 2510a. The Nec 2510a seems to use a similar chipset, so maybe we can find a BIOS modification that can bring the Nec 2500a up to par. Can anyone share more on this?
