И есть ли вообще смысл использовать данный способ, если сейчас существуют такие способы защиты как, authenticator например, хоть ты и будешь знать логин и пароль, зайти на стр. все равно не получится...

Тут уже описали пару причин, почему этот способ плох, но самая главная - он больше не работает. Теперь ссылки со снифмана в реестре поддельных сайтов. Но как варинант - написать сайт самому
