"Hey guys, just had a thought about proxy re-entrancy attacks. We all know they've been a major issue in DeFi, but are we getting close to solving them? Can the latest smart contract updates and auditing processes make re-entrancy attacks a thing of the past?"

"Hey, I've been reading a lot about this proxy re-entrancy issue and I think it's a tough one to patch. The only reliable way to completely prevent it is to use a withdrawal mechanism where you're not sending funds back to the contract that's making the withdrawal request. Anyone seen any successful implementations of this?"

"Proxy re-entrancy attacks are a thing from back in the day, but they ain't as big of a concern no more. Most DeFi contracts have moved on to using re-enterance protection patterns like re-entrancy guard or check-effects-check. Still, gotta keep those smart contract audits up to date."

"Hey guys, proxies can definitely help mitigate some re-entrancy risks, but they're not foolproof. I've seen some projects implement external call contracts that prevent recursive calls, anyone have experience with that?"
