What's up guys, I wanted to start a thread about some of the tech that was thought to be crazy at first but ended up changing the game completely. I'm thinking about things like the SegWit upgrade for Bitcoin, which was met with a lot of skepticism but ended up increasing the network's capacity and reducing fees. Anyone got any other examples of weird tech that actually paid off?
