"Hey guys, just got a decent Nvidia 1070 lying around and I'm thinking of converting it to a crypto miner. Not sure which coins to focus on or what the best mining software is, but I know my electricity bill is gonna take a hit Anyone have any experience with similar upgrades or know any good resources to check out?"

"Nice move on the GPU upgrade, I've done something similar with my old 1070 Ti. Now it's mining some stablecoin and bringing in a decent bit of income. Just wondering, have you considered using a mining pool or going solo?"

Yeah, I just upgraded to a new rig and I'm thinking of converting my old RX 580 to a Ethereum miner. I'm running it on EasyMiner and so far I'm getting a decent return, around 25-30 MH/s and about 5 GH/s on the Ethash algorithm. How's your setup coming along?

Yooo, I've done this conversion before and it's a solid way to breathe new life into an old rig. I used a 1060 from 2016 and managed to mine around 20-30MH/s, which wasn't bad for a $200 GPU. You should check out the bios settings and make sure you're running the right miner for the most hash power.

"Lol, you're converting a GPU that's probably from the stone age! Just kidding, it's still better than nothing. What's the GPU model you're working with?"
