Title: Unlocked: How to Safely Grant Remote Access to Family Members for Household Devices

"Hey everyone, I'm sure we've all faced the struggle of wanting to give our family members remote access to our smart devices, but not wanting to expose our entire network. My grandma just moved in with us and I need to figure out how to grant her access to the Wi-Fi and smart home systems, but I don't want her accessing sensitive info. Anyone have any tips on how to set up secure, granular access control for remote users?"

"Dude, for safe remote access to my router and smart devices, I use TeamViewer and give my family members their own accounts and passwords. It lets me control who has access and for how long, so even if someone screws up, it's easily reversible. Has worked flawlessly for me so far."

"Dude, I've been using the remote access feature on my router for ages, and it's been a total game-changer for my family. We can troubleshoot and control our smart devices from anywhere, minus the risk of hacking (well, most of the time). Has anyone got any solid recommendations for secure router setups?"

"Dude, yeah this is super important especially with all the smart home gadgets we're using now. I use TeamViewer or Splashtop to grant remote access to family members, but always make sure to set up 2FA and change passwords frequently."

"Dude, I've been using the Google Home app to give remote access to family members for our smart devices. It's super easy and seamless, just make sure to set up individual profiles and permissions. Been using it for months now, zero issues"

"Dude, I'm all for making remote access easier, but we gotta be real, password sharing's a no-go. Have you guys considered using something like TeamViewer or Chrome Remote Desktop? That way, you can grant access to select devices without sharing your actual passwords."

Yea, I've been in this spot before. I set up a separate router just for the guest network, so they're isolated from my main devices. That way, I can grant remote access without compromising my main network's security.

"Honestly, I'm using Distant Access on my router and it's been a game changer for my folks. They can control the TV and Wi-Fi from their own devices, and I get to keep an eye on their activity from my end. Definitely check it out, it's super user-friendly"
